Background

Sharon has a background in corporate learning and development.  She facilitates practical strategic and business planning and team workshops across all sectors, as well as running cross sectoral facilitation and mentoring programs and professional communities of practice.  Sharon brings a ‘progress focus’ to her work and is passionate about tapping into the existing skills and resources and helping people to work together to achieve more sustainable organisations.  Her style is interactive and provocative – encouraging people to discover practical ways to make progress.

A former Air Force Logistics Officer and Corporate Training Manager, Sharon brings over 20 years of management experience in bringing together groups of people to learn, grow and make progress together.  Sharon takes a process approach rather than an expert approach to her work. This means she is skilled in facilitating processes for people to become aware of what is happening: the dynamics of their current situation, what already works, what they want to happen differently and what is possible for them and their team or organisation.
Sharon thrives on drawing out the strengths of the individual, team or organisation and encourages people to use their complementary strengths to increase their effectiveness. Whilst she makes sure she is abreast of "best practice", she mostly works with groups to find what works for them.
Sharon facilitates and coaches teams and individuals to learn how to enhance their systems, processes and skills to achieve better results and be the kinds of people they want to be.  Sharon uses growth & progress models, encouraging organisations and teams to develop and grow their capacity, rather than thinking of changing from one kind of person or one kind of organisation, to another.
By focusing on the best in each person, Sharon supports teams to access their collective purpose, which powers them to continuing action and sustainable progress.

Sharon has delivered services to the following industries / sectors:
Financial Service (Banking, Insurance), Professional Services firms (Consulting, Accounting, Legal), Government, Manufacturing, FMCG, Community and Technology.
Sharon is quick to learn the language and processes of the organisations she works with and participants are often surprised to find she is not an employee of the organisations she represents.
